Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026
This policy covers The Red Queen Coffee website and store, and Ask The Queen™.
Coffee store
The Red Queen Coffee collects information reasonably required to process payments, manage orders, deliver products, communicate with customers, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. We use Squarespace and payment providers to operate checkout. We share only the order and delivery information necessary for service providers, including Red Parrot Coffee, to pack and dispatch orders. We do not sell customer personal information.
Ask The Queen information and purposes
When you use Ask The Queen, the app processes your questions/prompts, relevant recent conversation context and generated replies to provide responses, apply content safeguards and operate the service. If you register or subscribe to updates, Base44 processes account/sign-in information and the contact details you submit. App usage events include session identifiers and interactions such as questions submitted and links clicked. Browser storage is used for device/session identifiers, access status and story progress. Where paid access is offered, payment references, purchase email, device identifier and remaining credits may be processed to verify purchases and manage access; payment providers process checkout details.
AI, voice and video processing
The app includes Base44 AI response processing. Its OpenAI integration processes prompts and responses for AI generation and safety checks when that feature is enabled. OpenAI-powered functionality may be limited to testing or otherwise unavailable until released. Where spoken/video replies are enabled, generated reply text is sent to Runway to create the Queen’s synthetic voice and animated/lip-synced video. A reply may repeat details from your question, so those details can also reach the video provider.
The reviewed app input is text; it does not currently provide a microphone recording or audio-upload field. If an enabled feature expressly lets you submit audio or other content, that content and any transcription or derived content will need to be processed to provide the requested feature, including by the providers identified for it. This policy does not mean that an audio-upload feature is available. Submit only content you are entitled to share, and avoid sensitive, confidential or unnecessary personal information about yourself or others.
Providers and overseas processing
Providers used as applicable include Base44 for app hosting, accounts, data and AI functions; OpenAI for enabled AI generation and safety processing; Runway for enabled synthetic voice/video; Squarespace for the website/store and supported store connections; and payment and fulfilment providers. Information may be processed or stored outside Australia. Exact processing locations and provider retention depend on the service and account configuration; these have not all been verified. Provider privacy terms also explain their handling. This does not remove our obligations under applicable Australian law.
Retention and security
The reviewed conversation interfaces hold chat history in session memory rather than deliberately saving a conversation transcript in an app database. This does not mean that no data is retained: account, purchase/access and usage records, operational logs, provider records and generated media may persist. The reviewed OpenAI response requests use store:false, which does not establish zero retention across all provider systems. We do not promise immediate deletion, no model training, or a fixed provider retention period that has not been verified. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information and retain it only as needed for service, business, tax and legal purposes. No online system is completely secure.
